About Usability
Usability
Usability is defined as the user friendliness and effectiveness of a website, software or product. A high level of usability is a key determinant in finding the sought for information or products as well as buying the products or ordering the services. The total experience of the use of a website, software or product is called ‘user experience’ and determines whether your customers are satisfied and sales increase.
2C and Usability
2C has performed over 250 user research projects in the last years. Employees of 2C have been testing websites and software since 1998. 2C also organizes workshops, provides lectures and consults with organisations about improving usability.
User centered design
2C thinks that the users should always be the central starting point when designing a website, software or any other product. This can be realized only by thinking the way a user does, or better yet, by asking the users themselves.
Key Questions Leading Our Investigation
A sample of questions during a usability website research:
- How do users navigate through a website?
- What information are they looking for?
- Can they find this information easily?
- What problems occur when looking for information?
- Do users come across certain problems that were not anticipated?
These questions can be answered by performing a usability test from your website. Either with or without test participants.
Concrete usability solutions
2C doesn’t stop when a test is finished; finding the problems is important but solving the problems is what you are really looking for.
2C offers clear, detailed and concrete solutions and recommendations to solve the problems that showed up on the test. If you can’t wait to get started, 2C offers you 30 usability tips that are generally known to cause problems.
Observe tests
In our test labs clients can observe the researches comfortably, without disturbing the participants in the test. Observing a test is even more convincing than reading an analysis in a report.
