Usability lab

One-on-one tests (usability tests or individual interviews) will be conducted in 2C’s usability lab. This lab consists of computers (with internet connection), several webcams, video equipment, a one-way mirror, several television screens and a projector that projects the screen of the participant. The equipment is installed in such a way that the action of the participant may be observed.

Observation room

Client’s employees and other third parties are expressly invited to observe a test. It is our experience that watching the test is more convincing than reading about it in a report. Moreover, watching a test makes it easier to understand how a participant thinks and how certain users act. This makes it easier to decide which adjustment proposals are more important than others.

Watching a test is very comfortable in our well-equipped observation room. You are able to watch the participant directly with the one-way mirror and we have different screens with different views of the participant (over the shoulder of the participant and a close-up of the participants face). A projector projects the visual of the participant’s computer screen on to a large screen on the wall in the observation room.

The room is highly soundproofed so that discussion between participants and 2C experts is undisturbed. Provided snacks and refreshments makes watching the test even more comfortable.
