Expert review
With an expert review, one or more experienced usability experts analyse a website. Based on many years of experiences with users and knowledge of user behaviour, possible usability problems are identified. You can immediately use the practical advice and proposals for improvement.
Working method
The expert review provides more insight in the most important flaws and shortcomings concerning the user friendliness of the website. The review focuses on:
- Content (construction, text and linguistic usage)
- Lay-out
- Navigation and structure
- Flow (findability and information hierarchy)
- Forms
Naturally, specific research questions or important items or topics can be included in the review if necessary.
When
An expert review can be conducted at various moments. For example, when the first design is on paper or the first screens are finished. An expert review can be used as well when a site or application is (almost) finished and enough time or budget is available to conduct an extensive test with participants.
An expert review is often combined with a usability test with participants; already known usability problems can be solved before the test with participants is conducted. Less time is needed to focus on the known problems, which leads to qualitatively better results.
Research time & deliverables
An expert review usually takes three to four days, depending on your needs. The findings of the expert review will be described in a report. The report also consists of practical recommendations and suggestions to improve the usability of the website.
2C offers organisations with a limited budget or tight deadline the opportunity to conduct a one-day-usability-scan.
More information?
You can always request for a proposal if you are interested in an expert review. 2C will contact you to discuss the possibilities. Your request not does obligate you to anything. You can also contact us directly.
